東京プレジデントクラブでは、より良い社会を実現するために、ビジネスが果たせる役割は大きいと考えています。社会奉仕の精神を企業戦略の根幹に据えるビジネスのあり方について、営利と非営利の新しい組み合わせの可能性を探りませんか？

今回のテーマは国連のSDGs（持続可能な開発目標）17項目のトップに掲げられる「貧困」です。「認定NPOこどもの里」の代表である荘保共子さんは、聖心女子大学を卒業後にボランティアで行った学習支援を機に、日雇い労働者の街、大阪市西成区にある、通称「釜ヶ崎」に出会われました。釜ヶ崎は、日本の最貧困地域の一つであり、この地で40年間の活動実績を持たれる団体が捉えた子どもの貧困や自立支援にかかる実態についてお話いただきます。

また、2010年に全米文系学生・就職先人気ランキングで、GoogleやAppleを抑えて1位となった教育系NPO Teach for America の事業モデルをベースに日本で立ち上げられたTeach for Japan では、独自に採用・研修した教師（フェロー）を教育困難校に派遣されており、若者のリーダーシップ育成に資する画期的な取組みについてご紹介頂きます。

一方、社会奉仕の精神を成長戦略に合致させることに重点を成功している企業からもゲストスピーカーをお招きしています。IKEA Japan のファミリー基金のサスティナビリティご担当者からは、北欧の家具メーカーから遠く離れた大阪の若者に贈られた感動的な秘話を伺います。また、今回の企画はEY Japan の有志らによるボランティアによって実現し、当日は日英バイリンガルのサポートもございます。

ヒルズクラブでのビュッフェ形式のお食事、ご参加者同士のご歓談タイムをお楽しみください。当日はお名刺をたくさんご持参ください。グループ、お一人での参加も歓迎しております。この企画の収益金は当イベントの参加NPOに寄付されます。

At the Tokyo President Club, we see business as a force that can exist for good. We would like to offer you this grate learning and networking opportunity with our outstanding guest speakers and participating executives and professionals from both profit and non-profit organizations.

The theme of our event will be Child Poverty, the first item of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which is a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. You will meet with Ms. Tomoko Shoho who visited ‘Kamagasaki’ when she volunteered for children in this area. Kamagasaki is one of the most severely challenged neighborhoods known for homeless people and daily contractors. For the past 40 years NPO Kodomo no sato has provided child protection and advocacy services.

We also invite a guest speaker from Teach for Japan, which was formed with Teach for America as a model case. In 2010, TFA was ranked as #1 as the place that students want to work for the US (non-science majors) , ahead of Google and Apple. TFJ follows this model to send teachers to school with educational disparity. They are a living example of high performing NPO who helps young future leaders to earn leadership experiences.

Participating corporate partners include IKEA Japan whose Family Fund reached out to young people struggling from gaining economic independence. We share a heart-warming story with you about how this Swedish furniture maker traveled all the way to support children in need in our society. This event was made possible with individual volunteers from Ernst & Young Japan. We are happy to provide Japanese-English bi-lingual support.

Enjoy buffet dinner at the Hills Club and great company with participating business executives and professionals. Please make sure you bring a lot of business cards. Net profit from this event will be donated to the participating NPOs.
