SOHGA-AN offers traditional tea ceremony in the Shinmachi area, positioned right in front of Kumamoto Castle. The award-winning tea ceremony lasts for 45 minutes. The tea ceremony is traditionally performed with the knees on the floor but you can sit comfortably. Chairs will also be provided upon request.

CONTENTS:

· Lecture on the Japanese tea ceremony history

· How to sit down, stand up, and bow properly in a Japanese tea room.

· Authentic tea ceremony led by a host who speaks English.

· Drinking a bowl of matcha and eating Japanese sweets.

*Children under 10 cannot enter the tea ceremony venue.
