劇場で働き始めたニールス。完璧主義の彼は、人の役に立つことを喜びとし、懸命に日々を過ごしている。しかし、奇妙な出来事が次第に影を落とし、現実と幻想の境界が揺らぎ始める。『オン・ザ・エッジ』は、傷ついた人生を背負った一人の男の精神世界を描き出し、観客をその深淵へと誘う作品。メンタルヘルスとの関係を問いかけながら、他者との関わりに潜む「奇妙さ」を探求する本作は、即興と実験を通じて手話で創作され、手話の視覚的表現の可能性を追求している。

Teater5005
デンマークの劇団Teater5005は、ろう者のボー・ホーデル、聴者アーティストのオーレリアン・マンシノ、ろう者のラグナ・ヒューセの3名が芸術共同ディレクターとして運営している。これまでに、ニック・ペイン作『コンステレーションズ』を国際手話で翻案した作品を発表し、今回の『オン・ザ・エッジ』が第2作となる。

Niels, a perfectionist, begins working at a theatre, where he faces strange occurrences that exacerbate his personal turmoil. His mental health deteriorates as he struggles with psychic disturbances on stage, gradually slipping into madness. "On the Edge" delves into Niels' psyche, exploring mental health and the strangeness in human interactions.

Teater5005 is a Danish theatre company.Bo Hårdell, a deaf artist, Aurélien Mancino, a hearing artist, and Ragna Huse, a deaf artist, jointly lead this company as artistic co-directors.The philosophy of Teater5005 is centered around creating performances in sign language to promote the language of the deaf and deaf culture. Their first professional production was an adaptation in international sign language of Nick Payne's "Constellations." Their second production is titled "On the Edge."
